Privacy policy

Pawlished is an Australian online store. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We manage personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Order information — your name, delivery address, email address and phone number, and the items you buy, so we can process and deliver your order.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processors. We never see or store your card details.
  • Messages — anything you send us through our contact form, including reviews you choose to share.
  • Browsing information — like most online stores, our platform uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember preferences and help us understand how the store is used.

How we use it

We use your information to process and deliver orders, provide customer support, process returns and refunds, and improve the store. We only send marketing emails if you've opted in, and every one includes an unsubscribe link. If you send us a review and give permission, we may display it on our store with the name you provide.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it's needed to run the store: with Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders; with payment processors to take payment; and with our fulfilment and shipping partners so your order can be packed and delivered — which may involve processing your delivery details overseas. We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we're required to for tax, accounting and consumer-law purposes, and delete or de-identify personal information when it's no longer needed.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we're legally required to keep). Use our contact form and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you believe we've mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with immediate effect.
